I was playing the almohad and had conquered about half the world by the year 1156. I wiped out the papacy around 1155. On the next turn there were rebellions, old bloodlines, bandits, christian rebellions, you name it in about 20 provinces all of which were above 100 loyalty. Even all but one of my own original Almohad provinces rebelled. 200 percent loyal one turn the rebelling the next. What gives? Is this some kind of game balancing, since it seemed obvious I would be able to win the game by around 1200 or 1220, well before the 1453 time limit? This took all the joy out of this game. Anyone seen this or know how to prevent it?

200% loyal? The only place that would happen is Rome. If it happened in other places we'd like to see it.... still got the save game?

I dont understand people....I won four times. Polish,Germans,Egypt and the French(normalfor all of em'.Plus expert the Egypt). Soooo..I NEVER had the "massive rebellion". Sure I had a little rebellions but not the MASSIVE rebellion. Slow down and use the spy. I mean ALOT of em'. Maybe Im good! Hehe.. joking.. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Every time I read "I conquered nearly the whole known world in no time and then... bump... massive revolts" I am... how do you british guys say... really amused. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

There are many threads on the forums about this. You simply can't rush through europe and conquer every country. The game isn't designed that way.

Take a look at your taxes, use spies, buildings etc. 200% loyality means nothing. Learned that by reading the forums.

I've conquered Rome playing Turks. I'm having standard massive rebellions (1200-2000 men) every 3-4 years. I'm keeping there 2000 men army minimum.
