Hi, can anyone please tell me if there is any difference in content between MTW gold edition and MTW battle colection?

Hi Pharnakes,
As far as I know, there is no difference in content - I think the only significant difference is who the publisher is. SEGA for the Gold Edition and Activision for the Battle Collection.

The "Battle Collection" is just the original MTW/VI disks packaged in 1 box, if I remember right.
The newer "Gold Edition" installs MTW/VI from 1 disk, fully patched.

My (UK) MTW "Gold Edition" is v2.01 installed.
Edit: Your referring to www.totalwar.com
The exe file that comes with the Sega Medieval Gold edition is version 2.0. This patch will update it to version 2.01. This isn't necessary for those of you who have purchased the Eras pack as this already comes patched to 2.01.
Apologies, I assumed all MTW "Gold Editions" were identical.

Hmm, thanks people.
Some of the MTW gold editions were indeed only v2.0 most should be v2.01
