Problems in Island invasion

Hello this is may 1st poster here,

I'm playing with the almohads in I have conquered almost all mediterranean. Almost because I can't invade Rhodes and the other mediterranean islands (belongs to sicily). How can I invade a island? I have boats all around the island (but there are some sicilian boats there). What I need to do to put some soldiers in that island?

You have to have a port in the territory you send the army from. This also means, that your army won't get off the island until you build a port there - so don't send your king/sultan/whatever

As long as they are patrolling the waters you cannot land an amphibous assault on their lands.
