View Full Version : Massive Rebellion? Not one province.

When I posted earlier about a massive rebellion I wasn't talking about 1 province with 1200 or so rebels I was talking about 20 all on the same turn. Most contain troops that are technologically far superior to my own. One includes the first 8 star general I have ever seen(my highest ever is 6). This seems a bit unfair since loyalty was carefully monitored and all provinces except for two were garrisoned with their governor even. Basically I now have to start over to retake all these provinces. This will slow progress for about 50 years. What is the sense of showing the loyalty and chance of rebellion if it doesn't mean diddly squat? Does anyone know how to prevent a rebellion on such a massive scale? A rebellion in a single province adds a little spice but this really seems to be a little ridiculous as 80 years of hard fought gains are wiped out in a single turn. I would really appreciate some input from someone who knows what is happening and how to prevent.

Did your king lead an invasion the turn before the massive rebellion occured?

I started a topic on this recently. It seems the location of your king relative to all your provinces matters a lot.

I read up on some topics not on the "front page" here and learned more about this. Yes I believe my king led an invasion. But I've been using him for this since the beginning. It would seem to matter where he is leading the invasion as well.

Maybe what we need is a new game option to turn off Faction respawns and/or reduce the likelyhood of rebellions. That way those of us who don't want to play with the spontanious massive rebellions can avoid them altogether. Just a thought http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
