My wife and I have two computers. One much newer then the other. I play on the new one when I can but sometimes I have to play on the older computer. The new computer is Vista and the old XP. I wonder if that has something to do with it.
Regardless I have a kicking Spanish campaign on the new computer that I cannot transfer to the old one. When I first started to play on the new computer I installed took the game to ver 1.1 and then copied over the save games from the XP machine onto the Vista machine.
That worked fine except for when I go to save the game I cannot even if I delete save games save a new save game on the new machine. I have to save over an old file and it retains the old file's name. For instance my spanish campaign is currently saved as The Almohads 1238 when it is actually my Spanish campaign. What is bizarre is that when I copy my Almohads 1238 game over to my XP computer when I load it it shows up as the OLD Almohad campaign instead of the new Spanish campaign. When I go back to the Vista machine and load Almohads 1238 up pops the Spanish campaign like it's supposed to. I deleted the file off the XP machine and once more copied it over and to my horror up pops the OLD Almohad campaign!!!!! I cannot for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong. i don't want to start over and lose my place which is absolutely phenomenal at the moment. Can anyone help me?
