View Full Version : Should I continue my Byzantine AAR?
Hello all,
Some of you may remember a Kingdoms Byzantine AAR I started a while back (located https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=93640 (here) ). I discontinued it after seeing a much better AAR for the Byzantines in the Throne Room (A Comnenian Restoration).
I still have the save, and pictures from an entry I didn't post. Would anyone like me to continue the AAR? Does the fact that it's for Kingdoms make it different enough to be interesting? If not, I might start another AAR for a different faction(possibly the Principality of Antioch).
Edit: My own vote, of course, was "Gah!".

Make heavy use of the flame throwers and I'm sure the battles will be very interesting.

Keep going. Different time period and you get to fight off the Fourth Crusade! If you enjoy doing it, there's no reason to stop.
I haven't had time to delve into Kingdoms too deeply, so I'd be very interested to see how the Romans do in it.
Now go out there and win one for the Purple. :2thumbsup:
From what I've heard, the flamethrowers are better off in static settlement assault or defense rather than field battles.

keep doing it and take over the holy lands for the byzantine empire!aka ROman empire!flamethrowers great for segies ,they have saved my but a few times.besides its all ways nice to read a byzantine aar.if you won't do it for us then do it for one of my grestest byzantine emperor's.Emperor john the engineer!who had 10 stats and max out chivalry!
Ok, I caught up to the pics and notes I'd taken, so it's off to play some more! :2thumbsup:
I'm a bit surprised at the votes, and the relative rarity of "gah!" responses. Since noone seems to mind another Byzantine AAR, I'm going to chug along untill this one is completed.
OverKnight Funny you should mention using the flamethrowers in defensive battles...
uruk-hai, is that the same John who starts off as heir in the main campaign? I'm impressed, I've never gotten his stats quite that high! Can't let him down, then.

Excellent. Burn the filthy Venetians!
Burn they did. Here's a pic of their burning I almost used in the AAR. My wife liked the closer shot better, so I used it, but I thought this overhead one was kinda neat.
