Or we could just replace all the loading screen quotes with:

"Activate the background script!" - Foot (or any other reasonably active member for that matter).

Well, I did the same thing when I started playing, I had gone about twenty years before I figured out how to activate the script.

It pops up right in your face when you click the city...what did you just cancel every year after that without reading it?

Turn advice off, then you know he has something important to say. :laugh4:

I don't think he ever does come up in EB for normal advice anyway, only when he is scripted to do so.

I know for a fact I always activate the script, and I often get the feeling there's only two turns per year..

Perhaps because the little sun and snowflake emblem are still the only emblems. The sun for spring, summer, and fall, and the snowflake for winter.

I know that, that's why I specified turns:
I think I only experience two turns before the year changes.

Like I said, I'll check it next time I play.
