Windows XP Professional 64-bit for EB?

I am about to install Windows XP Professional 64-bit (I have Intell Core2 E4400) and I was wondering is anyone using it and will it realy help my EB ?

I have not used 64 bit myself (waiting for all the issues to be worked out first), but one would assume that as you would be making more use of your dual core, the game would run faster. However EB isn't the most stable game as it is and I hear 64 bit is notoriously unstable anyway, so mixing the two together may not be a good idea. Furthermore I'm not 100% whether or not EB would need to be tailored to work with dual core or not (64 bit EB so to speak).
As I said I haven't used 64bit though so please don't take this as gospel. Just my first impressions before someone who has experience of this can chip in.
