Please help me find a game.

There was this game 'bout 10 years ago that I'm trying to find.
I don't remember much, other than it was based in the American Civil WAr and had a risk-style campaign map and I think it had cartoonish graphics, I can't remember much of the gameplay exept that I vividly remember a time when I controlled a person trying to take over a train. For some reason I keep thinking the game is called North and South but when I search for it no games come up, maybe one of you know this game, please help, even though I only played this game when I was sevenish it was my favorite game and I'd really like to play it again.

Try another 10 years back. The game you want is, indeed, North & South, late 1980s. It was a computer game, but also converted for the NES.

I deem that there is a newer one out which is only 9 years old
same game but anyways looks good.
