Melee combat with ranged troops

I was wondering if there is a way to make troops attack a target even if they have not exhausted all of their javelins/arrows etc. besides just making them run past whomever you want to attack.

Hold down ALT. The missile icon will become a sword. If you hold ALT and right-click on an enemy formation your troops will attack them with their secondary weapon. (This doesn't only apply to missle troops, many units in EB have 2 weapons, for example the Hypaspistai have spears and swords, the Hetairoi have lances and swords, etc...)
