Congratulations for the beautiful and fitting artwork made into inspiring loading screens. I remember Teleklos was doing them back when I was inside. :2thumbsup: for him, whoever Nate is and possible others.

When you have some free time in your hands, could you increase the number? I'd love to see more of them. Oh, btw where are they stored (within a pack or outside)? I want to print out and get framed some of them.

They're in ...EB\Data\loading_screen and the one with the Galatians and the Pantodapoi is my favorite. Nate is Caratacos the guy who makes the concept art also.

The one with Galatians and the Ptolly elites mincing those Deuteroi is surely the best :2thumbsup:

Thanks guys. Those buggers took a lot of work to get finished, and I am quite proud of them.

I'd love to do more -- in fact when I began work on the loading screens I drafted about eight of them, with the hope that I'd have all factions covered by the end. How optimistic I was. Needless to say all my other commitments came crashing down on me all at once, and I could only finish two before EB 1.0 was released.

Hey, if you like my art and want to see more (and will be in Germany from anywhere between Nov. 16 2007 and March 3 2008) you should check out the Pergamon Museum. I helped out with the artwork for an exhibition about the Greek underworld and afterlife. There's a particularly neat battle scene between Herakles and Kerberos. No, I'm not going to show the art here, but you can check out the website here (http://zurhoelle-ausstellung.hu-berlin.de/). After the exhibition opens, the art will be displayed on the site (I'm told).

The picture featuring the Galatian swordsman, and the Ptolemaic soldier laying into some poor Seleukid sods is simply epic. Seeing that may have been the first time I've sat through a loading time without resorting to petty distractions. Bravo, Caratacos.

Okay, as you can see, I'm very much a lurker on this board. But I have to pop out of lurking to agree that those loading screens are, quite simply, awesome. There's actually been a few instances where I was annoyed that it loaded too fast so I couldn't get a good look at the details and such of the picture!:laugh4:

That's what I was talking about, aye. Note the fellow doing a runner to the right of the picture. :2thumbsup:

I like the Cataphracts one better. The horses really look good :)

I imagine this duel happening off to the side of a much bigger battle.
Perhaps the one chased the other away from the battle in a rout?
Cornered, the hunted turns to face his adversary in clash from which only one will return to his camp.

Proves the point about annoyingly fast load times (sorry to rub it in for people with slower rigs :laugh4:), never even noticed that chap before, how amusing :p
And @ hoom yes the Cata one is pretty good too, the Galations one pips it though imho because of the carnage :2thumbsup:
