Can you imagine anything more foolish for Bonds to say? Now some goofball fan has the power to make Bonds backtrack and eat his own stupid words, or stay out of Cooperstown. Bonds has said a lot of dumb things to the media in his time, but this has to top them all.

What really makes it especially sweet is the fact that Barry has treated the press (And to a large extent fans) as a mere accessory to his career, something that should flatter him when he asks and otherwise get out of the way, and now the position of that career in history is in their hands. I don't really care if Bonds knew he was on steroids or not (When your head swells up a couple of hat sizes a normal human being sees a friggin' doctor) he's been a (choose your own four letter word) and a thug his entire life, threatening anyone who crossed him. If an artist can block him from getting into the Hall it will be, IMHO, the sweetest moment in baseball for twenty years.

I don't even watch baseball, but it gives me shivers to see a jerk hang himself on the national stage.

I hate him too, but he's not really blowing off the Hall of Fame. If anything, he's showing some reverence for it for not wanting to be inducted with the shameful asterisk. Too bad for him.

Barry Bonds is one of, if not thee best baseball player of a generation. The fact that some speculate, but have never proven he has taken roids cannot change this fact.

Barry Bonds records and accompishments will be in the hall of fame, its a history museum. If he chooses not to particpate then thats sad, whats even sadder is that we cant get an ommission from his contemporaries (with the notable exception of consenco) as to how great he really was, given thier equal use of steriods.

thats of course, if its all true.... :wiseguy:

Not going to lie, I don't bother to read anything else besides what I quoted.

I just want to add, I'm glad Bonds hung himself. I would have hung him if I could.

1) Boo to the Hall of Fame for accepting the ball.
2) Boo to Mark Ecko for being Mark Ecko.
3) Boo to Barry Bonds for being Barry Bonds.
