after 35 years of honored service my good old client ruler died, and 4 turns later no one has replaced him yet. Bug or what else?
(and before someone ask me, yes I always activate the script :balloon2:)

I don't think that Client Rulers respawn unless you tear down the government and rebuild it. Think of it as the transition from their old culture to your's.

Or rather, think of yourself as having so much power in the region that only YOU can crown the new client king. So by rebuilding the type 4 government, you're really holding a coronation ceremony/celebration in the city.

Client Rulers are not supposed to respawn. They represent the people you have appointed; and if they die you need to decide whether you want to appoint a new official or want to tie the region more closely to your empire.

As for me I role play his substitution by local power members by process_cq command to rebuild the type IV gov imediatly after the death, unles the building qeue already has something in it, if so, I wait it end building and use the process_cq command!

thanks for replying, it makes sense after all, even the need to retake military control of the region
in this case I will establish again the allied government, the city is isolated and for now strategically unimportant, so I don't want to bother a family member to go there

I built a Lvl2 government in Massalia as soon as my client ruler there died. I already had a Lvl5 regional MIC, of course. I know that the EB members consider this as 'cheating' but I think it fits quite well in my roleplaying approach to the game :P
