Welcoming music to make him feel at home. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YD38SQ8srXw&)

I wonder if anyone's going to be disciplined for this.

Classic -

Instead of punishment the individual responsible for the band playing that theme song needs to be given knighthood by the Queen

Wow aren't you brits still snazzy when it comes from abroad instead of it already being there. He is the statesman of a country different from yours and that should be respected, why don't you fight for your own vallues somewhat more effectivly and start at home.

edit, got it back yay

GOD this pisses me off, what a desperate throwback to the days of Monty Python, in a country where they want to tone down christmas. You are monty python no more, not even close. So stop trying, gone.

Okay, Frag, I'm getting really tired of your islamophobia. Please tell us, in your honest opinion, what should be done about the "horrible" Muslim problem in Europe. Should we just deport anyone who's of middle eastern descent or are Islamic back to Saudia Arabia or Iran? Or just go kill them all off so that Europe can enjoy the simplicity of having a one and single master race/religion?

That was too awesome a prank :)

Disproportionate. I agree with Frag here: On the one hand, politically correct minded people clamour for a nice multicultural Europe with full extra rights for Muslims; on the other hand, those same people cry foul at Islamic nations with systematic human rights abuses based on similar principles certain Muslims want to practise here. Can't have it both ways. At least the right tends to be consistent in their condemnation of certain practises.

Presumeably, they were supposed to have played "Aash Al Maleek" (Long Live Our Beloved King) audio sample link (http://www.toursaudiarabia.com/flag.html) ?

How high would the level of conspiracy have gone to allow this musical insult? Merely the bandsmen, or higher, do you think? In the clip, the dignitaries don't seem to have noticed.

So all will be put right when QE next visits Arabia and they play

Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl
but she doesn't have a lot to say...

Does he now this tune ?

any self respecting dictator (monach, tryant or any other kind of non-democratic leader) needs music to strike fear into his enemies and what better evil leader to use as a role model!

I'd actually be pissed off I was the Saudi Monarch. If they are going to greet him like that, regardless of their views of him, they shouldn't have invited/allowed him to visit.

Want a tissue?

Said it a thousand times already what should be done, if you have to think in islamphobic and non-islamphobic, fine with me.

I am sorry, but think this is an affront of the highest order.

I am all for mocking evil dictators. In fact, that could be considered one of Britain's great contributions to the world. But not like this, eh? This is...well a bit sneaky for my liking. If they wanted to play Darth Vader's theme, I'd rather they had informed the king and his diplomats up front. (Not to mention, the English Queen)
Schoolboy pranks and international diplomacy mix poorly.

Having said that, enjoy:

Nah, there's a pretty large middle ground. You just happen to be ALLLL the way over on the scale. But please, reiterate to me what you think should be done. I'm afraid I am still a bit new to the backroom, so I must have missed the areas in which you enlightened us as to what action should be taken.

Oh, and btw, that is a terrible way to open a comeback, Frag. Please, for your sake, use something that makes you appear a bit more intelligent in the future.

I still think that was a funny idea.
All those standards and protocols can make diplomacy look like a theater play.
