Hi, my EB installation had to be redone for various reasons. I have an old savegame for 0.81, for a campaign which I would like to complete. However, 0.81 isn't available for download any more on www.europabarbarorum.com. Is there any way of getting hold of it?

Second question, is that after I've finished the 0.81 campaign, I would naturally like to install 1.0. How much of the RTW/BI folders do I have to backup to be able to do this without reinstalling RTW/BI/EB0.81 before installing EB1.0? The entire RTW folder, or will the data folder suffice? Or is there an EB0.81 uninstaller?

Personally, I would recommend the entire folder. I always keep a clean install of RTW 1.5 installed, then I can copy it when I want to install some mod or a new version of a mod.

It would be very ill-advisable to run EB 0.81a and 1.0 from the same RTW install. Definitely use separate RTW folders for them!

At least it seems you are heading towards a failed attempt to run both of them off the same RTW install...

Sorry I missed your second question. You will have to copy the whole RTW folder. Know that the 1.0 installation will uninstall the 0.81aV2 that is present where you chose to install it, for some obscure reason. The RTW directory where this happens is still NOT suitable for installing 1.0 in, you need a clean 1.5 RTW for that.
So when upgrading, you need to copy the old version as well, if you want to be able to play on in that version? So you have for example two copies of RTW1.5+EB0.81aV2 and two copies of clean RTW1.5, and the EB1.0 deletes EB0.81aV2 from one of those versions, and is installed onto one of the clean RTW1.5? Thus leaving you with one clean RTW1.5, one regular EB1.0, one regular EB0.81aV2, and one broken EB0.81aV2.

Wow, my HD is going to take a beating when you release 1.1 :laugh4:

That is correct. I hope we'll be able to avoid the auto-uninstalling part in future releases, as I don't see what it really helps.

Damn, I haven't got that... Are EB considering to make 0.81 available for download again? Or are there any mirrors that still host 0.81? I really want to finish my old campaign before upgrading to EB1.0, if it's possible.

Also, a clarification to the post above: no, I don't need both versions installed at the same time! First, I would like to finish my 0.81 campaign that I backed up during a computer crash. Then, once that campaign is finished, I will not need 0.81 any more, and transfer completely to EB1.0. If possible, without reinstalling RTW/BI when doing the transfer.
