Well HELLO everyone !

So tonight I had like 2 hours to play Kingdoms. I boot up the Teutonic campaign & 6 turns later, no more Lithuania. Auto resolved every battle, was just "playing" around.

Is this normal on H/VH ? I thought it was crazy easy. On turn 7 I had the cash rolling in, and deviating from my standard chivalrous attitude I executed all prisoners and exterminated all occupied settlements. LoooooooooL !

Anyway, just thought I'd share that.

SALUTE !

Disclamier: I am NOT boasting, NOT complaining. I'm just stating what happened in my game & hoping for some feedback.

what faction are you playing? because i get beat by the lithuanian/novgorod alliance everytime i play the teutonics on vh/vh even with an all out assaul on lithuania. and i can never get cash flow going.

That's wierd, I was playing Teutons. The Novs did create a hassle though, but I just steamed on Lith.
Oh, I did sack Vilnus and another large-ish city (forgot the name) each gave about 5K cash IIRC.

Thing is I was'nt even trying to get anywhere I was just trying out the Teuton campaign as I liked the look of the Mounted RidderBruder in custom (yeah I know that's a GREAT reason to play Teutons), and I was amazed how quick it went. Mind you I usually turtle so for e.g as Egypt by turn 60 I still have'nt taken Jerusalem.

Ofc sacking gives you an edge but autoresolving could be the key. In my experince heavy inf, heavy cav is a bit over rated in aoutresolve and the Teutons have the best of both. Playing out these battles (on the battlemap) are not that easy at all as the lithuanians have decent HA and good milita cavs and actually the AI pretty decent with them.
Palying on H/H I had some hard fought battles vs the lithuanians in the open. Now I just ignore their field armies and besiege their cities. I do not remember at which turn it is but the english noble already arrived with his troops and the lithuanians are still around (though not for long I think ...).

i'm assuming that kingdoms still has the bug where auto-resolve doesn't work any differently for sieges

yeah, AutoResolve kinda buggers especially with Teutons. Apparently, since order spearmen have such giant stats, one or two can take on 3 light HA's and win according to AR. :sweatdrop:

That explains it, I think. Just got an idea for Teutonic army composition, will repost in another thread.
