I have done it before but I have forgotten how, i would be very grateful if anyone could explain.

First of all you don't need it, unless you want to hold a naval parade. Really, in my AS campaign I have yet to see the first pirates emerging there. (250 BC).

In any case: it's some hidden resource which you've got to add to the province resources - something like naval_port or some such thing.

its not for pirates its for convenience, i want to build a navy their if i am bactrians, haysadan etc. i know it is not historical, but i feel it would have been posssible. besides the travel times for horse units to travel around it are far far too slow in my opinion.

Well if you must. But what direction do you go to then? I mean my AS cavalry covers the Wes-East distance through Hyrkania in 1-2 turns. (With highest level of roads, but still - to build a navy for shipping horses seems a lil' overdone to me.)


Anyway good luck with getting this to work - if anything it can be very statisfying to see you can get things to work. :yes:

Huh. It's the same year for me and there's five pirate fleets floating around the southern shore of the Caspian--and one is blockading one of my ports there...and there's nothing I can do about it! :wall:


Ah well, like sea trade there is huge anyway.

Just build up a fleet else where, then use move character to move it into the caspian, go on a short anti pirate rampage, and then move the fleet back to the med again.
