battlefield banners

I would like to know if theres any way to remove the banners on the battlefield so that the enemy cannot see my units banners and i cannot see the enemy units banners. It would be helpful for a realism mod im working on. If theres already a forum that addreses this issue i would like it if someone could redirect me to it.

I think there is a switch for that in the medieval2.preference.cfg
set:


show_banners = 0

oh and btw if its possible do u know of any ways to get rid of the 'fire at will' option?

Not to my knowledge.
You can tell your units not to fire at will though.

hmm...
setting that issue aside temporarily, is there any way to make it impossible for artillery to enter woods in Medieval 2 TW? I know that was always true for RTW, and seeing as it is more realistic i was wondering if there was any way you could do this (a special unit stat maybe?)
I didnt see any other threads addressing this issue so i hope its ok if i address it here :\
