I've been trying, but no luck. I Have done the following successfully;

forts added to descr_strat - so they are there from the start
forts stay permanently on the map - even when not garrisoned
forts show as being Stone on the Camp map (like in Britania camp)
forts allow free upkeep of units (2 in my case)

The only thing not working is that once on the battle map, the fort is the old wooden palisade with the tents.

I do have the files of the stone_fort_a/b/order fort b in
mods\Stainless_Steel\data\settlements\north_european\ambient_settlements\

but to no effect. Apparently the stone forts are working in the Crusade Mod from the expansion.

Any help would be appreciated.

Stone forts do NOT work in the Crusades campaign (on the battle map).

They don't work in any other campaign, if built by a general.

It cannot be fixed in any way, shape, or form, except by being patched by the developers. (Confirmed by the devs).

Sadly, it's just something you have to give up on.

I beg to differ Rhedd, I've got them working on the battle map. They have messed up my game a bit, (lost a troop type), & the locations are static, and they need to be defined before you start a new game. But they do work, & I have attacked & been attacked in them on the battle map.
