Is this possible?

Similar to renaming cities.

In game, no. The only to change a characters name (that I know of) is to change it in the descr_strat.

@tapanojum You will break the script if you rename cities.

in the city status(construct or recruit or retrain) interface just click its name on the right top then you can type a new name.

Yuck wouldn't want to do that...Guess I won't rename Athens into Jiggles!

Well, if you rename any random *non reform inducing* city into anything you're fine(although the AI will not build the right government if they capture it, if at all)

NEVER RENAME ROME.

What if you change the city's name to a reform city? That would be an interesting way of munkying with the game.

The AOR of the city wouldn't have any units that were enabled by the reform, so it would just add a worthless building to the town.

No. Renaming cities breaks the script.

I have always been a little vuage on this, but can you "fix" it by naming it back?

Or is it permanantly broken?

Well, then the script should resume working properly from that point on. But there's no telling what damage has been caused in the meantime.
