Please help. How can I attack Ireland?

I assume that I have to build a ship to take my troops there right? I build the ship workshop to 2nd stage (not sure what's it call). Then it said I need 'compass' to upgrade to next level. How can I get compass? Please help. Thank you.

I'm 99% sure tis a static event, it'll happen in year X.

I'm also 99,99999999999% sure, that all you need to do is build any ship at the shipwright (jsut train a ship) and keep it in the sea between England&Ireland, if all is well you can ship troops there, be carefull however that you'll also need to build a port (and a shipwright?) in Ireland to be able to return.

make a port, and put ships side by side in an unbroken line to ireland.compass is a tech i think.

Alright, thanks for the help guys. I'll try it. But after lining them as a line to Ireland, do I have to place my troops into the ship? Or just place my troops over Ireland?

one ship in that part is enough, make sure there are no ships from other factions, if there are any, destroy them as they form a blockade... after that just place your army on ireland as you would with a normal invasion.

Its really rather annoying that allied and neutral ships stop you transporting armies acroos that sea zone.
