game wont load into main screen.

could not find battle model for yubtseb elephant gnitekram

not sure what to do here may reinstall from begining or is my download of version 1.0 corrupt and missing this battle model??

This has been reported to happen in very rare cases after rebellions, where the yubtseb oliphaunts are spawned contrary to all the rules we set for it. You can bypass it by autocalcing the battle (using auto_win if you're sure you would have won).

I'd actually much prefer to remove them from the roster entirely, but for some strange reason we keep them in order to avoid crashing the game when typing the cheat code. It still causes crashes later if using the cheat code :shrug:.

If you're getting this when starting the game or a campaign however, you should run the validation tool and probably there will be some files you should restore from the EB installer and/or from the fixes posted in the thread linked by my sig.

this was a clean install, so i removed all files and folders, reinstalled and it seems to have gone. thanks for replying bovi
