View Full Version : Why?
No-CD isn't piracy. I personally buy my games, and I get a no-cd crack because I hate switching CD's and when you continually insert and remove a cd, you scratch it in the process. If you honestly think a No-CD is all that's needed to stop piracy, think again. I want to stop piracy for the sake of game prices, but come on. CD checks just piss off the real paying customers.

Doesn't bother me, I generally play 1 game at a time anyway. As a professional programmer who makes a living by selling my programs, I can accept a minor inconvenience if it helps to curb software piracy.
However I do wish more vendors would go to online registration (like with MMORPGs) which seems to be a reasonable compromise between cd-checks and convenience.
well if your paranoid about scratching your cd, then get a burner, and make a copy
