That makes us angry. I'd hit on the table and nearly the lamp fell on the ground.

I dont want to blame you if that problem is hard-coded.

But our reinforcements are as stupid as a EDIT! We fight Saka, they attack our city.
We decided to attack them from behind whit a large army. In the city were 2 units helenic native spearmen (police).

So far, so good. As the battle startet, our reinforcements came right behind the Saka army. So we decided to take them off of the battleground, right were they came from.

But, how surprising, it was not like we thought. They started running directly to the Saka army. What a EDIT of EDIT! What were they thinking???? So, finally, they got slaught by Saka army.

Haha yeah :wall: blame CA for that I guess, I just had a battle where a general was part of the reinforcements, and he just ran straight into a phalanx :laugh4: Brave as he is :skull:

Ah but you didn't ensure that you was actually in charge of the army... It was something we all face, sooner or later and it's called AI. The thing with it is to check/uncheck that nifty broken checkbox which says "let the AI manage certain death"...

Watch your language mate... or mates...:inquisitive:

However, I assume you problem is the rienforcments are AI controled. Yes the AI is hard codded, sadly.

But you can control the reinforcements yourself, just check and uncheck the box a few times before starting the battle, then make sure that once you have unchecked the box, you press begin battle imediately, without pressing anything else.

EDIT: lol, 27,28,29 :laugh4:

Yep, watch your language. This forum has some rules which apply for everyone in here, you included.

We're not talking of AI controls the reinforcements. We just wanted to take them away from battleground. But as any normal person will do, go where they came from, no, they wanted to go away from the battlefield on the other side. Why is this? Why they just cant go away straight where they came from?

Again, hard coded, the retreat pointis behind your main army. Cant be helped.

EDIT: Bonny, what horible and disfiguring torture has your signature been forced to undergo?

Only solution I'm afraid is to guide them around the enemy and then rout them, otherwise as you've discovered, they'll go straight through.
Personally if they're in the battle anyway, I tend to leave the units at the edge of the map at their start point, they can then be used to take down some routing enemies.
Cheers

I won't reply to anything you say after this point until you use proper punctuation.

Fair deal? ~;)

(This tongue-in-cheek response brought to you by your friendly neighbourhood smartarse.)

You used to have a good, manly warrior, now no offence meant, it looks like a 14 year old dumped in armour 5 sizes to big.

Ohh, and the expresion on his face, is he being charged by an elephant, or something?

Oh man, I just couldn't stop laughing for like 5 minutes. One of the best puns I've even heard. We are the Rycalawre, prepare to be assimilated. Brilliant.

Here, you deserve a ballon :balloon2:

Oh, and I don't know if anyone noticed this, but our multiple personality friend started referring to himself as "We" when he downloaded EB 1.0. Jesus Christ, I didn't know the EB team had such powers. I want them too!!!

Greetings Rycalawre,
First one has a question, if I may be so bold. Does 'We' refer to you, yourself and I, along with the faction you are actually playing? just curious!

When you decided to take off the reinforcements, did you hit the flee button? If so in a siege, doesn't the cities plaza always represent the rally point for the defenders, reinforcements or other wise?
