Incoming message event

Trying for the hundredth time to dream up a way to check for protectorates. About to give up again but wondered if anyone knew anything about the correct format for the "incoming_message" event. That triggers after a protectorate is formed so i might be able to use that somehow. In the events text files it is entered as "protectorate_established" but so far none of my guesses as to how the script should be written have worked.

Anyone got any info on the message events?
