Trouble with EB installer

Hello everyone, i checked all the help topics and everything, but this problem is not covred by any of them. When I first installed EB 1.0, i installed it incorrectly over my old EB installation (I didn't read the directions carefully:shame: ) and so, it didn't work. So un-installed everything, every trace of RTW, and reinstalled. But when i ran EB 10.exe, it asked me if i wanted to remove, modify, or repair.
Simply put, it thinks EB is still on my computer, when it is not. ~:(
Because of this, i cannot install E.B, and my old installation is _ up. Any help, plz, ireally want to play EB!

sounds like the registry entry is still there. Have you used the unistaller or simply deleted the mod?

To get rid of the registry entry you can simply delete it in the reg editor

1) open the registry with "regedit" in the execute window (sorry i don't know the proper translation of it, it is in the startmenu above the shutdown/cahnge user button).
2) go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER
3) go to "software"
4) there you find an entry called "Europa Barbarorum"
5) delete this entry

then the install should work fine.

If you don't want to do this you can isntall the game using 7-zip. It works like a normal extractor (like winrar and winzip) which can extract the setup.exe (at least the Eb one)

Okay, re-installing RTW now, i'll let you know if EB works once it's installed. Eb was indeed still in the registry, i've evicted it from my space now, so it should work.

Okay, how do i work EB.exe with 7-zip? Sry, i'm a computer invalid:embarassed:

Just right click on the exe, and choose extract with 7zip. Make sure to extarct it to your RTW folder though.

You'll need to create the shortcut manually though, unless you've still got it from your previous install. If you use your old 0.8x shortcut, note that the -nm switch is nominally gone in 1.0, to allow playing of the Pahlava introduction video.

so, disregarding the above post, what is the ending, exactly for the game, cuz my old installation was deleted in my purge of allthings RTW.

I'm not quite sure what you mean, but here's my shortcut target if that's what:
E:\Cd-spill\RomeEB10Released\RomeTW.exe -mod:eb -show_err -ne

Ditch the -ne if you want fullscreen.
