Having a birthday around november i though i would invest in a Wii before the christmas rush (in UK). Unfortunately i find that nigh on all stocks have gone is this becuause they have been shifted to another market or simply have nintendo not actually built that many? Also apart from the obvious places, ebay amazon.., does anyone know a good place to get your hands on one?

Here in the US, it is a matter of timing to get one - be in store when the delivery truck arrives and you MAY get one. This has been the case since the Wii came out. The manager of a local EB Games/Gamestop said he hadn't closed the store even one day with a Wii in stock. Good luck in your quest Mithradates.

They are very very popular... so look around or put one on order.

Just go to places that sell them and ask when they are next due in stock.

If they say there's huge demand for them, pre-order one.

With NiGHTS Into Dreams port coming to the Wii this December, I would not doubt that Wii's everywhere are getting sold out.

Had never heard of that game before, seems to have quite a fanbase. About the wii, just place a reservation and pray it will be yours one day. You haven't been mssing out on much so far, but now that Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 are here, oh boy does it rock.

NiGHTS Into Dreams is quite possibly one of the best Sonic The Hedgehog clones in existence. It came out for the Sega Saturn, but the controls, graphics, and music have made it an instant classic. In fact, Blockbuster had an exclusive Christmas edition made for them.

Can't really figure it out from the video's, is movement free or is it semi-3d like Pandemonium?

It's semi-3D, kinda.

Sigh there in such demand around these parts they dont even let you pre-order one. woe is me. Cheers for the advice and making me jealous though.

I found them today.
Went to an electronics store and checked while I was there, they had about 16 staples of 10-11 Wiis, yes, that's more than 150 Wiis. ~;)

They're 239EUR each though IIRC.

Grab them while you can

You pay close to $360 Aus here for just the basic Wii package. So $384 (converted 239 to AUS) is a little bit much... but some of the deals go well over $400 for games included.

^Your getting hosed. Here if a store offers games with a system purchase it's a free gift they give. Not 1 cent over the MSRP for that SKU. Unless your store happens to be called EB games and it's during the launch period. :skull:

A bundle is a bundle when you get the set cheaper then if individually purchased...normally I avoid them as the games are not ones I like. Even at half the price I still wont like a game I detest.
