Camillan vs Polybian?

I have few questions concerning the camillan and polybian military eras, shouldnt the polybian be improvement from camillan? why is it that only Principes defence goes up few points but everything else goes down compared to camillan principes? and same with camillan triarii beeing more effective than polybian triarii?

aaah thank you, it was so far back i couldnt find it at first, tried checking for it before. Anyways thank you, it cleared that one up pretty well :)

as far as i know,the Polybian principe changed their weapon from spear to sword,which is more effective in melee combat(spear has a bonus against cavalry but a penalty against other infantry).

besides, their moral and defense has been improved a bit.
