Swiss Empire?

has anybody else seen this? I am playing Italy on late, GA, and the Swiss just amassed a nasty empire. They got into a big time war with Germany and got kicked out of Switzerland, of all places, but their marauding pikemen and precision timepieces regrouped and now they control all of France and the low countries. THey are tough to dislodge too, bring a lot of boulders and arrows.

Never saw this. I only had Sicily conquering all of Italy and half of the balkan region I think and all the time these guys fought the pope. Was really good for me, as he excommunicated me every few years. Around I think 1100-1200 Sicily conquered the pope at least 10 times http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif. I'd say the godfather down from Palermo won against the pope.
