Someone recently mentioned a "leap turns" mod. Is there a mod that does this- advances the game to a certain date? I didn't think it would be possible, but if anyone can point me in that direction I would be thrilled.

Epistolary Richard created one for vanilla BI, but it doesn't work for EB because there aren't any emergent factions. I've posted plans for an EB one here: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=95753

I haven't had a chance to test these ideas yet, because my EB install is stuffed.

Just wait till I create later versions, like the "skip to the birth of Julius Caesar and give the relevant factions their appropriate territories / characters" version. You'll be able to refight the Gallic wars in a variety of alternate universes.

I mean, how interesting would it be to fight in a version of the Gallic wars where the Carthaginians had never lost the Punic wars? 10 interesting, is the answer.

I shouldn't boast too loudly, though. I'm having trouble: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=95802

The basic version of this mod is now pretty much working. I just need to set up some triggers in EB.

Let us know when it's done- It would be extremely useful for a Casse campaign. Unite the British Isles, fast forward 50-100 years, send the population of Europe back as slaves.

Tell me about it. And anytime a campaign gets too easy, you can just put the AI in charge for a while until they've stuffed things up good and proper.
