Hey,

I remember a tutorial for creating unit cards that look very much like the ones in game by taking a template model from someplace in the bi directory and it had a pre-made scene with the grass and dirt at the bottom and the render size set already. When i looked through the tutorial database i couldn't find it, anybody know what i'm talking about and where i can find it?

hmm, this wasnt what i was looking for, it was an actual 3d file that you loaded into MAX and then you merged it with the unit model...

Yes, i belive what u are looking for is locate in bi .

all u have to do is go bi/data/ui/unit_info/huns. and there shoulde be a 3ds max scene in which the ca used to make ui cards

sorry to bring this one back up but how do i make a unit card by taking screenshot in 3dmax for cavalry? the model itself and the horse are separate aren't they? how can I mount them?

You have to make two scenes , one for the rider and one for the horse you want it to be its mount........ than merge both the scenes.

But make sure you scale the horse down to about 75% otherwise you will get a rather big horse and a rather small rider. ( The horses come out bigger in 3ds max than they do in Rome total war )
