Another idea i have thought about is altering what happens to the besieged units as they starve in a castle...
When the besieged army surrenders the units could be treated as prisoners and sold back for a ransom. Thus factions wouldn't lose their valuable Kings, generals and heirs so easily, assuming they pay the ransom that is...
at least this way it would give greater advantage to the defender in terms of making the decision.
As it stands they effectively just disappear (starve?!) and surely surrender would happen before starvation...?
Also, will there be any other way to prevent building destruction other than the method of making buildings income producers? This way doesn't guarantee no building destruction, i think it lessens it although i can't be sure it even does that as income producers still sometimes get destroyed!?
