We have a big problem. We fighting Arche Seleukeia with 2 armies, of course our reinforcements are delayed that it becomes more challenging, we are used to it :). But that's not the reason why we are writing.

So, our reinforcements finally came. Yeah, we thought, now we gonna beat the EDIT out of Arche! But...as you can imagine...it wasn't like we thougt.
Before we started battle, we checked about 3 times we deactivated AI controls reinforcements.

SO WHY WE CAN'T CONTROL OUR REINFORCEMENTS?? WHY THEY JUST CHARGE INTO THE BATTLEFIELD WITH THEIR COOL AI TACTICS??

Horses charge into phalanx, ranged goes away from our meelee that enemy cawalry can easy erase them, and all these nice AI gimmicks.
We like challenging games, but when that is part of the challenge, that's just too much! It's so pathetic! You tried so hard to make the units historical what you made great, but things like this are just frustrating! Why is this?? That's sadistic!

That would have been an epic battle with more than 5000 Soldiers each side. It's such a pity it went to waste by this sad bug. We nearly destroyed the keyboard again. We screamed so loud that we woke up the whole house...but its just frustrating!~:mecry:

If you right-click on the enemy army the AI control of your army gets messed up, so you always have to check it once and then uncheck it again to make sure it's on the correct setting.

<_<

>_>

We are not just sadistic.

In fact we didn't even do this to you. Ask CA who created the game about it, but I guess it's something along the lines of "no time, no money, and no inclination to do it properly from the mgmt - if you want AI buy Kingdoms instead". Nah. RTW is a great game, but the battlefield AI is just a bit 'left behind'.

What you have to do is this: Look at the two armies, save the game, blah, blah, balh, whatever you want to do; then check and uncheck the box half a dozen times, make sure it is unchecked, then press start battle imediately, and without pressing anything else.

of course our reinforcements are delayed

If you find this rather annoying, you could toggle the infinite_men_on_battlefield in the preferences.txt file. The reason that the reinforcements are delayed is because your computer may not be able to handle so many soldiers in one battle without lagging, so it restricts the amount of troops in one battle(until a lot of them are dead, anyways).

If you do this, a really big battle like this may slow down your computer, though. But it's worth it, I think.
:wink2:

We have a big problem.

I have a big problem.

Don't use "we" unless there's more than 1 person. I'm guessing you're writing this alone, so don't use "we", use "I". Otherwise, it's
kind of weird.

EDIT: lol, Pharnakes beat me to it(about the "I" thing). At least, I think he did. Same with Spoofa, and oddly enough, it took me a very long time to understand the joke about "gollum"...
