Stop Whinging about MP Campaign! (rant)

Why is it no matter where i look people are saying "i want an MP campaign"...? i mean they havnt even sorted out the SP campaign yet and people want CA to do what would no doubt be one of the hardest things to implement in the gaming industry!

amen to that. i'm so tired of hearing about a multi-player campaign. even if they had implemented it, a whole 0 of them would ever be finished...the game's design simply doesn't lend itself to making an enjoyable mp campaign experience. the number of people who post on these forums is such a small minority of the casual gamers who bought this game, and not even all of us want an mp campaign. it'd be a waste of time when there's a seriously buggy mp game to fix as it is, let's not add more problems.

The answer to that is simple.

The ultimate opponent is always human and not AI.

There's nothing wrong with pushing for better and better and getting the folks at CA to consider options for the future.

Online Total War at both the strategic and tactical level is inevitable. It still might be a ways off, but I'm certain one day it will come.

I second that Austaro !!
And besides that it's a bit 'old fashioned' now-a-days to release a game without good MP.

I for one will NOT buy any succesors to the TW series if it doesn't support campaign multiplay. And ofcourse i realise it's a lot of work, and yes perhaps they fully need to recode the TW engine.
But for me and the likes it's is just soooo important, as i only play perhaps 1(no mp games): 10 (mp games) since ai still sucks....
And sorry for you guys we rant about it, but we just want to make sure the DEV's know HOW IMPORTANT IT is. I won't start a post myself about the issue, but if someone starts, well.......

This format is well suited to multiplayer. When Mongols came out, Gamesdomain did a preview stating that mp campaign would be supported. I preordered two copies of the game so I could start up some LAN games. Imagine my supprise when I installed both copies and mp campaign wasnt in. Right now for me, this title is wonderful, but it would be #$^%ing amazing if it had mp campaign. I get little sleep now with sp, with campaign, I and my friends would get none.

SO true. I'd buy two extra copies right off if it supported MP campaign becuase I know they'd get the use to make it worth it.
