Almost Repurchased MTW

I saw a copy of MTW gold at the store the other day and it looked like a new box. This didn't make sense as it's all but impossible to play on modern computers.

What gives? Is there an updated version that can run on modern PCs without first performing surgery?

Am running MTW/Gold and it is working fine on my fairly recent computer. What is the trouble?

I bought MTW and VI separately and in order to play VI I have to do some funky surgery to my graphics. With the new version of XL out I may just buy the gold if it works fine for you, thanks.

Well, it depends on how much 'surgery' you have to do at the end of the day. I implement the resolution solution, with the campaign map at 800x600 pixels and the battlemap at 1024x768 pixels. Might not work for you, though.

Of course, knowing CA, they might have done upgrades to MTW Gold that we don't know about so it works on newer computers. Or they're just crossing their fingers in hope that the game works on newer computers. Calling all bets! What I got here? There? I hear £10,000 on tweaks to the software from Caravel! Deal! :laugh4:

Thet was mine problem too i download 2 files and copy them to 1 place and campaign work very well
