View Full Version : Seeking help on Polybian reform

I have read the FAQ, I have dutifully activated the script on every load. I have searched the forum too, without much success.

I am playing the Romani, and I have conquered all of Sicily and the Italian penisula up to the Alps. It is 239 BC. I have "Polybian era" markers in my cities (next to the "Camilian era" marker), but I cannot recruit Polybian era units. And I cannot build any "Polybian barracks". Is there something else I need to do?

For example, do I need to destroy my "Camilian barracks"? If yes, all of them, in every one of my cities? I have destroyed a couple but can now only rebuild the lowest level "Camilian barrack" in its place.

Thankful for any help, that would contribute to make my Saturday night more satisfying ;)

Upgrade your camilian barracks to the next level. If they are at the top level they will upgrade to the top level of the polybian chain.

I use this thread for my question: I'm in summer 242, I hold all Sicily and Patavium and Bononia but I still don't see the "Polybian Military Era" marker, how long I have to wait? :juggle2:

Maybe you should do a few more turns. If the display shows 241 and there is still no Polybian, you come back...

In my game I had to wait a few turns after 242 until I was allowed to upgrade my barracks.
