And that's not all; they have more troops ready for landing in those fleets... and more full armies standing on the African coast ready to be picked up when the fleets return :sweatdrop:

One of the larger armies includes elephants and has enough movement to reach Messana in one turn. The city still has only a palisade around it, plus a piddly garrison. I have no way to stop any further troop shippings since my cheap fleets are no match for Qarthadast's big ships.

All the while most of my armies are busy fighting the Ptolemaioi in the east :wall:

Sorry to burst your bubble but while the AI does invade via sea, its not very smart. Each culture usually invades the same 1 or 2 cities for the whole game. This is annoying since it avoids diplomacy. Also, don't be surprised to see the AI kill themselves by sending hordes of units to those one or two cities in endless invasions while ignoring badguys at home..

Yes, i think i'll give it a try, have to uninstall anyway because of obnoxious heavy CTDing. Make a new fresh n clean and go for BI or ALEX. Hope SaveGames work.

I actually wish something like that would happen to me. I didn't even know that enemies could send fleets loaded with troops onto your shores. I have NEVER been attacked by a invasion force coming from the sea. Sounds like a risky plan on their behalf, though. Anyone with a decent navy could repel/sink their ships causing them to lose precious manpower especially if one of those ships is fully loaded with troops. Be a major waste of time and money if they lost their force at sea. I ALWAYS send serveral naval escorts with my "troop carriers."

In RTW.exe the AI will reinforce its own territory with naval unit transport. Happened to me: A SSbQ stack came from Africa to relieve Lilibeo. Once the province is yours, it will never manage to disembark, although it does transport.

A full SSbQ stack with a general loaded on-board a fleet slept for decades at the Italian coast when those parts belonged to the late SPQR.

The original bug is with disembarking onto foreign territory.

How do you play EB with BI.exe? And is it compatible with standard EB 1.0 in multiplayer to do so?

See, the unofical mods section, and no, it isn't.

It is possible to play completly umodded BI, but that is realy rather pointlss, you are far better of using a couple of other little mods/adaptions, JMRC's descr_win_conditions is especialy to be recomended.

yeah... in my Romani campaign, they invaded Carali island and sicily with 4 full-stack armies ( it is on BI 1.6 exe.):sweatdrop:
