The Samurai Warlords mod is the "best of the best", as it combines the two masterpiece games of Shogun Total War and Medieval Total War. Consequently it has attracted a highly dedicated following of players who want that "best of the best" experience.

We encourage you to join us as we learn and test our skills each week in 16th century Japan

Who: All skill levels of honourable MTW/VI players.

What: You will need a minimum of a clean install of MTW/VI v2.01, the Beta 5 version of the mod, and Map Pack volume 1-3. Also I would suggest the Beta 5 add-on, as it enhances the flavor of the game.

Where: In the MTW foyer, check in with any Mizu Clan member there.

When: Every Sunday starting at 7 pm GMT (2 pm EST), for about 4 to 5 hours.

How: Randomly occurring teams (2v2 to 4v4), on randomly selected custom maps.

Why: Because this is "twice as as good as it gets" in any other Total War game!

Kind of you to ask.

My work schedule now is difficult to predict.

Please do not make any arrangements to it my plans.

I might be able to arrange a private game here or there.

The idea is to try to find a day/evening that is suitable to most players.

Friday, Saturday or Sunday suits me.

We will continue playing on Sundays until R'as al Ghul returns. That's when we'll make the switch to Saturdays. I'm assuming he'll be back sometime in April, but it's not definite.

Correction:

As it is now we will try to play on both Saturday and Sunday and because of Daylight Saving Time (also called Summer Time) we start at 1800 GMT. So for local times that is

2000 Central European Time
1900 British Time
1400 (US) Eastern Time
0700 New Zealand time

Thank you for the update CBR and the clarification of the different zone times.

I shall be available to play on Saturdays and Sundays unless otherwise occupied.

Hello,

Three maps are re-textured for use with beta5. They are mostly flat with patches of trees. http://www.mizus.com/files/files/MTW/Maps/STW-T-maps-beta5.rar

Hi All,

Logged on last Sunday night but only 4 players were online. Are you playing Sunday or Saturday nights.

Thx

During daylight savings time we play Saturday and Sunday at 6 pm GMT, and usually finish around 11 pm GMT. EDT is GMT-4, so that would be 2 pm until 7pm EDT. CEST is GMT+2, so that would be 8 pm until 1 am CEST.

Hi Yuuki,

I'm in England, so I was within the GMT timeframe. Gamespy was being a pain that night so that may explain the low number of players. I saw Ichi, Tosa and yourself ingame but by the time I got back online you had all logged off.

Lets just blame that one on gamespy:wall:

See you all this weekend:yes:

I must say I do like CBR's army selections I've seen in the replays.

Is Tosa still using his Naginta army?

Any more feedback on Ninja's?.

Hello Nem,

Some matches take their time indeed, sorry about missing you, maybe we can meet on Messenger at Sunday to rally?

I still use Ni at times, but they are not always there (I estimate they mostly aren't).

BN can do very well and can erase over a 100 sprites. They do well in woods and are agile and brave enough to appear where you need them.

They are also nice to deploy and cloak on a seemingly weak flank (that's a bit of a difficult tactic for me, as everything looks weak. I can solve that by buying more than one ninja units). They can't stop fresh heavies on their own, but they can help to make such a move fail and not so fresh heavies can rout when bitten in their flank by them.

It can happen that you deploy them like that and never use them during the battle: bad for performance statistics, a good patience exercise however.
