View Full Version : Has anyone made a color mod?
That changes the color of the factions?
I'd like to see Sicilians troops in darker shade of gray so they don't look like rebels.
The bright purple of the Byzantines could be toned down a bit.

You can easily do that yourself.
Unpack the following file:
descr_sm_faction.txt
In there, all factions have their colors listed in terms of red green blue. Adjust as necessary and run using switch.
Note that while the factions will have their colors adjusted, the unit cards will not, as those are separate tga files.

Now that is a neat bit of info. Thanks factionheir.
Thanks for the info, but that's not good enough for a real change of the overall light gray color of Sicily. :)

You might need to tinker with the numbers more I think. Look at the slave faction's colors and then the ones for sicily, noting which one is lighter and then adjust numbers accordingly.
For gray, you want all three numbers to be the same or close, but the amount of color overall determines the shade.
Example of entering some random numbers for sicily:

Which is why I said I entered some random numbers (my screen does not reflect the above advice).
Rebel names.... try descr_rebel_factions.txt
That is neat. Does it change the colors in battle also ?

Nope, strat map only unfortunately.
0 0 0 In order to make them black. I guess 20 20 20 is brighter grey? :inquisitive:

That would probably be slightly less dark black rather than brighter gray. Brighter gray would be somewhere around 220 220 220, with 255 as maximum.

Isn't 255 255 255 the brightest white then? *goes testing*

255 on all would be white, yes.
Ah, eheh, I meant 20 20 20 to be brighter, aka more greyish. :book:
