Hi all, I'm new here so I thought I'd say Hi.
I just bought Shogun after downloading the 95MB demo on a 56k modem!!
Worth every KB!
So I went to the shop and had to decide: Age of Empires II or Shogun: Total War.
mmmm...difficult decision that took me about 2.3 seconds.
Brilliant game.

I played a game yesterday. Had 2,500+/- troops against 600+/-, and got my ass kicked!

Don't forget get the 1.2 patch from the official site, and also to visit .org's maps section to download many custom maps and map-packs made by members of STW's editing community.

You've chosen well. You'll find Shogun a highly original game - and one that will hopefully be extremely better in the near future.

Also you may find it useful downloading a thicker rule book from the official site. There may even be a colour tech card there too.

My first battle? I immediately tried to storm a bridge with all my forces as soon as the game started. Got wiped out and rebels then moved into my vacant provinces! Loved every bit of it!
