Does anyone else think it is annoying that elephants are so expensive to recruit and maintain that you cannot even use them until a point in the game when money is absolutely no object? I understand that elephants would have been expensive to train, feed, and care for, but it seems rather unlikely that they would be several times more expensive to maintain than a navy.

It is annoying, but thats how hard and expensive it was to care for those puppies.... Especially if you take the elephants and travel with them far away.

yes they are more expensive that a small fleet of ships.
