I'm playing vh/vh as carthage, and my campaign has grounded to an utter standstill, and i need some advice to gain some sort of upper hand on my enemies.
the disputed area is mediolanium, patavium, segesta, and the new one that starts w/a B)
who I'm at war with
1. Rome
they've been reduced to about 6 territories, all around the alps and illyria, and i've raided 4 of them, destroying everything, and have recently ceased being a major factor.
2. Sweboz
Possibly my most dangeous adversary. they've developed a massive empire to the north, from gaul to the west, to massilia, norway to their north, and stretching all the way to european russia. i've repeatedly fought 3 fully stacked armies (and succeded barely with 1 full stack). the problem with this is, by the time i can get an another army up there from kart-hadast or sicily, they've got another massive force there to defeat, or they're besieging a city. I'd build armies on site, but segesta has 400 pop., pat has only 1300, and i've only recently taken mediolanium, and have yet to succede in building a barracks (cause it's been under siege almost constantly since i've owned it.)
i can't seem to gain an upper hand against them, this is my main concern.
3. spanish (luisienne or whatever?)
i'm at war with them, and they've taken that little island that there, other than that, i don't feel that they pose too much of a threat, since i've razed like 5 of their cities.
4. Egypt
technically at war, but haven't heard much from them for a while, since i razed everything from kyrene to alexandros and all of their settlements down south, plus i have a strong garrison at lybia, so it's all good on that front.

i tried to sail around spain to hit the sweboz from behind with a fully stacked merc army, my objective was to hit everything that was adjacement to the sea, and wipe out their entire northern empire, thus effectivly eliminating their main unit building power. however, a bunch of pirates (like three fully stacked) spawned out of nowhere all around my 2 ship navy (the highest ships u could get tho) and wiped out my merc force, losing me like $80,000 (obtained due to the razing of egyption settlements). this was a disaster, obviously.

Another concern of mine is the hellens, theirs is the largest empire, and periodically the richest (it usually shifts between them and me, or sometimes egypt and occasionally arche seleukia). if i can't build up in time to face them, i fear my cause is lost....

anyways, i need some advice here bros... help me.

oh btw, it's like year 160.

Don't play on VH battle. (I know, not that useful to your current campaign). It just makes the enemy stronger, not smarter. Their weak units will fight like elites, and their elites like gods. EB isn't meant to be played on such a high difficulty, so it's not surprising that you are stalemated.

The VH battle difficulty gives +7/+7 attack and morale... EB's recommended settings is VH campaign, M battle

Just stick it through or abandon that region...it's too late to turn back.
