Tried to post it at the .com boards. But they seem not to work. Hopefully someone from CA comes here....

original message:
Hi all,

hopefully someone from CA reads this.

I got the german verion of MTW since last week. Its a good localization. Good translations and most of the vocals are good. Ok, the orthodox vocal sounds funny, always makes me smile. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

But here are some bugs I found and which I don't remember from brwosing the boards (including .org, DD's):

- The german text that pops up if an assassin successfully kills someone is nonsense. Believe me, I read it several times and it simply makes no sense. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif

- Some of the buildings got the same name in the german version. "Schwertschmiede", lvl 2 and 3, Rüstungsschmiedegilde, lvl 2 and 3. No clue if its the same in english version. No big problem as you can distinguish them by looking at the picture.

- Something more serious. Some troops vanish if you upgrade them. I played the byzantines and tried to upgrade the armor of some peasants in Constaninople. I already did this with byz infantry and those archers successfully. But the peasants simply go to hell (or heaven, don't know). Although I can produce peasants with armor upgrade in Constantinople.

Maybe someone else found all/some of the bugs before. Would be great if there would be a place (sticky thread ?) where CA would mention confirmed bugs.

Btw, great game. Really enjoy playing it. Otherwise I wont even have posted the bugs.

Regards,
Anthur

ah, some more gameplay things to make the game even more fun ( I know you recognized some/all of this already):
- make storming castles more common
- Prevent the AI from attacking you with ALL its troops leaving its homelands ungarded. Usually it gets massive rebellions there the next turn. No fun to wipe out the french in two turn. Half the provinces taken by the player the rest revolting.
- Make playing GA style more enjoyable. Not enough GA's. Not enough diverrsity (correct word ?). Personally I prefer GA style.

Thx for reading.
