Apologies for the advertisement, but it would be really cool to fill up all 17 factions and meet some new players on the way. If you've never been to the Throne Room, it's great. You can join the play-by-emails King of the Romans (HRE Grand Campaign) or The Frozen Crusade (Teutonic Order Kingdoms). Hotseats are always being created, but since you cannot join after they start you gotta get in now. I hope to see some of you in the new Grand Campaign Hotseat!
Actually, with the admin function enabled I could theoretically add people to the game after it's started. However, who knows what the player factions would do to any unassigned AI factions before anyone picked them. :clown:
At least, I think I can do that, I know I can set player factions to AI control if someone drops out. Hmm....

We're starting this game tomorrow. And we have three two just one factions left that needs a players. So, if you want in a Grand Campaign Hotseat MP game from the beginning, now is the time.
Factions available are:
Russia
Byzantines
Milan
The one at the top of the page is our old thread

so... how is player versus played battles resolved in hotseat?

Everything is autoresolved.
Ah... That's the reason why we need a live action grand campaign game, I hate auto-resolving cous I always lose some of my best troops, which in a normal fight wouldn't even engage! (For example longbowmen)
Also, much easier to win battles you play yourself then auto-resolve
Yeah, the main thing that makes hotseat play fun is the diplomacy and the challenge of playing with and against fellow humans. It can be a bit lame when your horsearchers lose in autocalc to mediocre infantry it could turn into pin cushions. :clown: I think it's more than worth it, though.
I would note that MP might not be easier if you could fight the battles. It all depends on how good the other person is.

can u play grand campain with grand campain using the vanilla game if u have kingdoms installed? if so how because my multiplayer menu has no sign of it
Dammit, I missed it. Any idea when you guys are starting the campaign again? If it isn't Kingdoms, I'm in.

Its not kingdoms and you can sign up on the waiting list in case someone drops out.
russveld Yes, but the very first player has to put some stuff in his config file. Only the first player, though.
Shogun Given that with so many players the campaigns go a bit slowly, I can't say if another will be started soon (there are two running, as well as some Kingdoms hotseats). People occassionally drop out of these things, and I almost expect it to happen eventually in my game (managed to fill all 17 factions, so we have a lot of players).
You could try to get another started, and I'd be happy to help. However, with so many people, it might be hard to get enough players (I'd think you'd need 5+ players to even make it interesting).
Edit: I should note at least one other person in the MP forum here didn't get into the game, so at the least that would make 3 people, including me and you, who might participate in a new game.
