View Full Version : Seasons and autosave

Hello everybody,
Sometimes, when I load a autosaved game, the strategy map will have the winter skin, even through it is another season. I'm not sure, but I think it only happens in autumn. All my generals have the traits corresponding to autumn (including not having the winter campaining restricted trait), and the movement ratings look non-winterish, too. I would guess that the winter skin is simply applied before the magic and wonder that is the EB script can be activated, and that it thus is a purely cosmetic thing.
I'm hoping that the current snow-clad autumn will be followed by a snow-clad winter, and that everything thereafter will run as it should.
What I would like to know is, has anybody had the same experience? If so, what did you do? Or did the problem correct itself? Will I be able to play on without "staggered" seasons and season effects? Or are there other problems?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

well, auto-saved games save on thier own, so its imposssible to tell when it saved. just dont rely on auto-saved games unless youve had a CTD.....

I had the problem once too, but can't remember what caused it. It does not harm the game in any way I had noticed and after one season everything will be normal again. Just turn on the script and move around the map, the snow should disappear when you scroll back.

If you turn the script on and then move around a bit on the map, the map will redraw and your problem is solved immediately.

EDIT- I completely missed Konny's post until I'd posted.
