Greetings Europa Barbarorum fans.

Work is as always being done on EB and today we show off some of our latest units. Enjoy some of these latest units that will appear in the next release.

Celtic skins and units voicemod preview


blank did a lot of skins to ensure that the Aedui and Arvernii will not be fighting clone wars and many units got 2-3 new skins.

I have a question about the Rhodian Slinger unit: what is the armor he's wearing? I don't recall ever seeing anything quite like it. Are those vertical strips made of iron? Is it some odd version of scale or lamellar?

It is stitched linnen or cloth, AFAIK. But the texture size (we use 256x256 for all non-cat / general units IIRC) isn't good enough to allow for as much stitching effects. Or sth.

Holy hell frozen over, EBII has begun! I didn't figure out it was from M2 initially, so I was at a loss as to how in the world those shots looked so good. But wow.....

Will there be different face variations within the unit added?

Smart work. Those new units look extremely sharp, with plenty of nice detail. Only the Celto-Germanic unit and Arverni Cidainh aren't showing up for me. How many more units are you guys working on for EB1? I'd have thought you'd be reaching the limits by now.

Great seeing an EB2 unit. It also makes clear just how good XPrime's work is. It already looked great, but a bit out of place, in EB1. But here the detail of the uniforms and the excellent rendering of the faces really show his skills far more clearly. Be interesting to see what the varied MTW2 units will add to EB!

Very good preview, is the Aymar who have done the first iberian unit the same skinner who have done the Lusitanian ones? I can recognize the same style of the shield from the Scortamareva units.
This guy is the best!

2) are there planned some gaul skirmishers? i was always wondering why gauls have not a standard skirmishers unit.

3) The boi will it be recruitable only in norhtern italy as regional? and only from gauls or from other factions too as regionals?

They are already in the game but only with Casse skins, they are recruitable in Britain mostly. I think you can get some Chariots in the Belgae provinces before the first celtic reform.

The Casse have the Imannae, no new units there AFAIK... maybe the Caturiges could fit that role.

They are the Central European Boii so they will be recruitable from the Boii capitol, Eburonum and 2 adjacent provinces where Boii were present IIRC, they will be regionals for most the factions in the area.
