[Historical Campaign] Golden Horde

i'm playing the historical campaign of Golden Horde. i managed to win the first battle at the Kalka river, but now my army cannot continue marching before Kiev. there are four winning conditions to finish besieging kiev.

1) kill the head of the russians
2) get at least 100 of the horde inside the castle walls
3) do not let your general killed (i'm not sure whether this is right..)
4) ensure not to lose more than two of your catapults

i've successfully achieved the 1st, 3rd and 4th conditions above, and i could get 108 soldiers inside the castle walls. moreover, the russians were wiped out, all the houses and churches were destroyed and burnt out, the priests might be roasted alive and the nuns might be ravished upon the altars; just as the Khan's army really did in the history.

however, the battle didn't get over. what the hell is the problem? anyone knows how to finish the siege of kiev?

I had this problem as well. I had two hundred soldiers inside the Keep, and every Russian was dead.

Quit this in frustration and came back a week later ... I didn't even have to go in the Keep, and I won! I don't get it. *shrug*

is there a forest on the map?
if so check it out,there may be some troops hidden there...

I had the same problem last night- had 108 men within the walls, no enemy on the map... I even checked the forests http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/tongue.gif Still no victory.

i've just found the solution to this problem. just destroy all sides of the Kiev castle. (north, south, east and west)

don't miss any of them or you would not win the battle even though you swept all the enemies from the map.

but you don't have to break down the inner castle walls or the keep. what you have to destroy are the outer castle walls.
