Can you run normal RTW without problems?
I hadnt thought of that. I just tried and had the same problem...
pls take a look at your rtw preference file
...\RTW\EB\preferences\preferences.txt
You will see something like this
ENABLE_AUDIO:TRUE
ENABLE_MUSIC:TRUE
ENABLE_UNIT_SPEECH:TRUE
DISABLE_BACKGROUND_FMV:FALSE
DISABLE_ARROW_MARKERS:FALSE
AUDIO_3D_PROVIDER:Creative Labs EAX 2 (TM)
CLOUD_TRANSITIONS:TRUE
GRASS_DISTANCE:50
AA_QUALITY:AA_LOW
pls take a look what your file is using as AUDIO_3D_PROVIDER:.
It it is different to this
Miles Fast 2D Positional Audio pls copy and paste it into the file it should look like this.
AUDIO_3D_PROVIDER:Miles Fast 2D Positional Audio
then safe and try to start EB again.

do you have the same problem in other games, too?
I looked at the preferences and it was already 'AUDIO_3D_PROVIDER:Miles Fast 2D Positional Audio'. I've never had this problem before with other games, just EB and RTW.

then i have no idea, you are sure that everything is ok with your audio card?
My video card's ok, i'll try uninstalling and installing EB and RTW again.

It seems to me that the problem is your audio card.
Have you tried simply rebooting your pc?
I once had the same problem, completely panicked until I thought of rebooting the pc, problem solved.
I meant audio, not video. I'll try rebooting now.
