Ok so I just joined the forums so i can ask this; I've been reading the forums since i got EB; about half a year ago, and no1 else seems to have had this problem.

This problem was NOT in 0.81a. And before you ask, yes i have added the 4 permanent fixes, as well as Fanatic's mini-mod. I did not run into the problem before the mini-mod.. .. but to be perfectly honest i never had reinforcements, so i cant tell. Anyway by restoring the backup files from the mini-mod does not fix the problem. Heck I even installed the map.rtw that was there to fix a few things. And lastly, yes I ran validation, and the changes are only those from the mini-mod/fixes

Ok, enough convincing you that I know what I'm doing; here is the problem:
1)happens when i'm under siege, and bring in another army to break siege; as well as plain fighting in the field; i have not tested it when I am the one putting my enemy under siege.
2) I always set custom control for my army, since i don't trust the AI
3) I start the fight and I ALWAYS (tried at least 10-15 times, and my comp is slow and it really drives me insane quitting and reloading and trying to find a way out of the battle) get a message saying "Reinforcements Delayed?", and I read it and it basically says that my army is not coming, so i get owned in the fight every time.

Is there some sort of scripting error that makes this happen EVERY time, instead of on very rare occasions? Please help me.

This cannot be scripted. IIRC this happens when your computer cannot handle the number of troops on the battlefield. You can get round it by going to the [R:TW folder/EB/preferences], open preferences.txt and set the parameter "unlimited_men_on_battlefield" (or something similar) to TRUE.

K cool thanks, ive only recently upped my game to use huge unit scale to make it harder for me to train units from small cities; so thats probably why. (the computer handles it fine when the armies are merged and i squash the Eporite/Macedonian dogs 1-1)

Thanks for the quick help!

General replies to order to bring his reinforcements to the field: "You can't handle this many reinforcements!"

Hi there,

A quick question on this one. Is it possible to actually set a limit on the number of people on the battlefield, rather than just allow all re-inforcements to join in. To allow an unlimited number might overload my computer :shame:
