The preacher in these instances, if you're curious, is being mocked because he's a pathetic fraud and currently under investigation for misuse of donations. In particular the Mr. Copeland promised a man with cancer that his cancer would be stopped if he made a suitably large donation. The donor is now dead, of cancer, naturally.
